ISLAMABAD: Indonesian President Joko Widodo inspected JF-17 Thunder fighter jet at Nur Khan Airbase in Islamabad today. He evinced keen interest in the fighter jet. On the occasion, the visiting dignitary was briefed about the operational capabilities of JF-17.

Indonesia may emerge as the potential buyer of the Pakistan indigenous made fighter Jet JF-17 Thunder. JF-17 is the state of the art fighter jet which Pakistan has built with the assistance of China and now is produced in the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra. Pakistan Air Force may be the only Air Force in the World which is indigenously producing the fighter jet.

Earlier reports have surfaced that some other countries including Myanmar and Nigeria may emerge as the potential customers of the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. Later, President Mamnoon Hussain saw him off at the Nur Khan base.
