MARDAN: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) T-37 trainer aircraft crashed near Takht Bhai area of Mardan district on Wednesday during a routine flight. “The pilot ejected safely,” PAF spokesperson said. “A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident.” No loss of life was reported on the ground.

Earlier in February, a PAF Mirage aircraft crashed near Shorkot in Punjab. The aircraft was on a routine operational training mission at the time of the incident, said a statement released by the PAF. The statement added that the pilot ejected safely and no loss of life or property has been reported on the ground.

In January, two PAF pilots were martyred as an FT-7 aircraft on a routine operational training mission crashed near Mianwali. Squadron Leader Haris bin Khalid and Flying Officer Ibaadur Rehman were martyred.
