Harbin H-5/B-56 Pictures album
Orthographically projected diagram of the Harbin H-5/B-56. Pilots never really took a fondness to these planes since they were in capable of performing Night missions and lacked a Bombing computer. Some half-hearted attempt was made to use them as a naval patrol.
Harbin H-5/B-56 jet bomber, Chinese copy of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-28 "Beagle" jet bomber. These bombers served PAF for very short period of time from 1966 to 1969 before their return to China in favour of more F-6s. [Picture courtesy: Hassan Riaz]
